Orlando is about 58 miles south of Daytona Beach. The fastest route by car is to take I-4 out of Orlando which will take you north to Daytona Beach. This drive should take approximately 1.5 hours. Another option is to take Florida State Route 417 and 415 from Orlando to Daytona Beach. This may not be the best route for the business traveler, but the vacationer would enjoy more scenery. The National Forest provides ample opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast including camping, canoeing, kayaking and hiking. With more than 600 lakes, springs and rivers, the Forest doesn’t disappoint. Visitors to the park can dive, snorkel and swim in the clear, crystalline waters every month of the year.
