I"m looking to buy a 2006 Focus zx3. 2.2L DohC. And i was wondering if it had a Timing belt or a timing chain? any pro"s or con"s i should be aware of? (im relatively new to focus"s) Car has 70k miles and is a 5 speed.

Well a 2006 zx3 will have the 2.0 motor. There was never a 2.2. There is a 2.3 but that only came in the zx4 ST car during those years.And it is a timing chain.

Yes one of the great thing about the duratecs, wish i had a chain instead of a belt. Would not squeak when its wet or cold out and it probably wouldnt have to be replaced. Replacing the timing belt on a focus is a long process and costs a pretty penny to have done.
