My 2005 dodge Durango started showing the electronic throttle control light and was put in the shop. Shop claims to changed the etc sensor and eventually the computer after driving for two days it is doing it again with a rough idle and now when I put it in drive or reverse it dies any suggestions on what the problem could be nowSent from my XT907 using Tapatalk

It was a known issue in the 2004 ram truck line. typically related to the throttle body itself. I never came across a major problem, although, twice (months apart) it came on for unknown reason, then went away in less than a minute. never had an RPM Stumble in either case. 4 years later, I have not seen it back on. knock on woodWelcome BTW!

Autoparts store can and should do it for free, then their are the code reader/ programmers. the reader only at harbor frieght are around $40.00, the power programmmers are around 200.00 (for the HEMI use superchips or diablo, i tried hypertech, basically its an expensive code reader)

OK got the code reader it said low voltage and crank shaft sensor fault so I changed the sensor and my battery was dead so I charged it up it cranked then had the rough idle and died againSent from my XT907 using Tapatalk
I have an 04 Limited and it has done the same thing as yours. after it shutting down and starting back up it sounds like its not getting fuel because it just turns over and over, then finally starts. everytime this happens to mine i change the Crank Shaft Positioning Sensor. its kind of a pain to do because you have to take off the starter due to it being behind it.

Josh:All good advice here so far. I noticed that you mentioned a dead battery. Dodge/Chrysler vehicles in general and especially our D"s are uber sensitive to a dead or dying battery. While you are at it, have yours load tested to rule it out. There are copious posts here on the forum including mine about chasing electrical demons eventually cured by a fresh battery.Be sure to also perform a battery disconnect reset to give all of the computers a fresh baseline to work from.Unhook the negative post, and then depress the brake pedal for 30 seconds and then reconnect the negative cable.Don
